To learn the student needs a teacher and to teach the teacher needs the student. One cannot exist without the other. It is a symbiotic relationship. To learn well, the student needs a good relationship with their teacher. But is it not the same for the teacher? If the teacher wants their class to be a success, they need to have a good relationship with their students. The connection needs to work for it to be mutually beneficial.

Provided that teacher and student work well together, learning should be a pleasurable task and not an uphill battle. But for some students it may feel like climbing Mount Everest. They feel they are not linguistically inclined, maybe out of their depth and sometimes feel like giving up. But with the right tools this can be reversed. It´s all about taking little steps and being confident that you can reach the top. Edmund Hillary, the first man to climb Mount Everest, did not achieve this without arduous training. The same goes for English.

No beginner in English can reach advanced level without going through four levels at least: beginners, elementary, pre-intermediate and intermediate. As they go through each level systematically, they are building their confidence and in the end with the help of their teacher they can not only ask for directions in English but can watch and understand the news.
